About Hawthorne Energy
Hawthorne Energy arranges fully funded commercial solar for established UK businesses. We work with commercial and industrial sites across England, Scotland and Wales.
What we do
Most businesses know solar would cut their electricity bill. What stops them is the capital cost, and the time it takes to work out whether the numbers stack up at all. We remove both. We assess your site remotely using your address and a recent energy bill, and tell you honestly what is achievable before anyone visits or you commit to anything.
Where a site suits it, we arrange a fully funded installation, meaning an energy investor pays for the system and you simply buy the power it generates at a rate below your current supplier. Where funding does not fit, buying outright often still stacks up, and we will say so.
How we work
We are an introducer rather than an installer. We handle the assessment and the commercial side, then introduce you to an accredited funding and installation partner who designs, installs and maintains the system.
You never pay us anything. There is no cost to you for our involvement, at any stage. It also means we have no reason to push you toward a system that does not suit your site, since a project that does not work for you does not go ahead.
Who we work with
Established UK businesses and multi-site operators, across industrial and manufacturing sites, warehousing and logistics, care homes, schools and academies, and commercial property. What matters is roof or ground space, meaningful daytime electricity use, and either ownership of the site or a landlord willing to consider it.
Leasehold sites go ahead regularly. If you rent your building it is worth a conversation rather than assuming it rules you out.
